| Highlights | Facet lenses‘MESSAGE RECEIVED - LOUD & CLEAR’ Smokey Grey lenses were faceted to allow the pilot’s ‘Heads Up Reading” Andrew made 40 of these helmets along with chest and control boxes for the Pilots uniforms which also had further control pad on left hand sleeve of the flying suit. High Crown‘COMMANDING POSITION’ The high crown enhanced the superiority of the wearer, akin to classical Greek or Roman warriors. The duct created by the High Crown served to add ventilation to the back of the helmet Front Vent‘AIR CON IN THE COCKPIT’ The vent at the forehead was the inlet for the ventilated duct. A connecting pipe from the control box on the front of the armour was to feed the air con to and from the helmet. Un-painted surface.‘A UNIFORM FOR ALL’ The Pilot crew in general were suppled with plain White un-painted helmets made from tough ABS, so this Rebel Pilot helmet guarantees you an accurate replica of the helmets you see on screen. |
